Quality Policy and Food Safety

– CITROSWEET MILLS SAC is a company dedicated to the processing, packaging and distribution of dehydrated vegetables, characterized by supplying quality and safe products for human consumption.
– CITROSWEET MILLS SAC, seeks to guarantee food quality and safety through the implementation and maintenance of a Food Safety and Quality Management System based on the FSSC 22000 vers. 6 standard.
– The Management of CITROSWEET MILLS SAC, focuses this system on Continuous Improvement and efficiency, with the purpose of complying with national and international legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the requirements mutually established with clients.
– CITROSWEET MILL SAC promotes the professional development and competence of its employees, thus optimizing the quality and safety of its products.

Policy of Non-Use of GMO Products and Non-Use of Ionized Products

It is the policy of CITROSWEET MILLS S.A.C not to use GMO products; as well as the non-use of ionized substances or ionization treatments in any of the stages of the production process, also applying this policy to input suppliers.

GMO products are understood to be: Genetically Modified Organisms, are organisms whose genetic material has undergone an alteration that does not occur naturally through mating and/or natural recombination. Scientists transplant genes from one species to another to transfer desirable characteristics. Organisms are improved in one or more of their characteristics using movement of genes within or between species and thus exhibit a desired quality.

It is understood by ionized products: It consists of the exposure of the food to gamma rays, X rays or accelerated electrons.

Non-Use of Allergenic Products Policy

It is the policy of CITROSWEET MILLS S.A.C not to use allergenic products in any of the production stages.
Allergenic products considered according to:

DIRECTIVE 2003/89/CE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of November 10, 2003, amended by 2006/142/CE of the commission of November 22, 2006.

1) CELERY: root, leaves, stems and seeds
2) EGG: ovalbumin, egg white, egg yolks, whole egg, hydrolyzed egg protein, mayonnaise, meringue (*).
3) MILK: butter, casein, cheese, sodium caseinate, hydrolyzed milk protein, chocolate milk, ice cream (*).
4) PEANUTS: peanut butter, roasted peanuts, peanut flour, peanut protein (*).
5) MATERIALS CONTAINING SOY: protein derived from soy, miso, hydrolyzed soy protein, Tolu, etc. (*).
6) MATERIALS CONTAINING SULPHITES (in concentrations greater than 10 mg/Kg): sulfur dioxide, potassium bisulfite,
sodium sulfite, sodium metabisulfite, potassium metabisulfite, wine, dried fruits, processed potatoes (*).
7) MATERIALS CONTAINING NUTS: mixed nuts, some chocolates, chestnuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts, pistachios, pecans (*).
